Proxi-Mate bed mat sensors are of ‘solid-state’ construction with no moving parts, unlike cheaper ‘pressure-switch’ systems, which often have a short life-span. Proxi-Mate sensors detect tiny changes in the electrical field around the patient or resident, making them more reliable and long-lasting. Fully welded seams also provide greater sanitisation capability, allowing these sensor pads to be safely used with multiple patients by following appropriate cleaning protocols. All Proxi-Mate bed mat sensors are guaranteed for two years.
